DeO Networks Solution Architecture
The Solution Architecture diagram on the
right gives an overview of the DeO Networks service offering. Video can be
streamed either live on-demand or as archived Video on-demand (VOD).
The only difference is the format of the content. With VOD streaming, the
content is stored on the platform awaiting deployment, with live streaming the
client broadcasts to our platform for live real-time deployment. In either case
the DeO Intellegent Media Deployment Platformtm
is responsible for the deployment of the Media-shuttletm
that delivers the streamed content.
From a client perspective you can either
publish the Media-shuttle URL or a Media-shuttle trigger URL. The
difference is that the trigger requests a unique Media-shuttle dispatch from the
media deployment platform each time the trigger is clicked, whereas, if the
Media-shuttle coordinates are published for consumption, then all consumers are
using the same Media-shuttle.
A trigger would be applicable to a
subscription scenario where each consumer requires their own personal
Media-shuttle whereas on a public site monetized by advertising it might not be
a concern if all users from a specific launch site access the same shuttle. DeO
supplies the Media-shuttle trigger which can be placed on any web site or sent
by email to potential consumers. |
