The DeO Intelligent Media Deployment PlatformTM

The DeO Intelligent Media Deployment Platform  houses content.  It is the vault on the one hand that protects the intellectual property rights of the content owners/providers and the catapult on the other hand that launches, dispatches or deploys the Media-shuttle to the end consumer of the content.  The assurances to the Content Provider are many.  The assurance of 7/24/100% platform up-time for on-demand access to content or the streaming of live events.  The assurance that the quality of streamed content is optimal and never compromised due to the lack of bandwidth on the deployment side.  The assurance that the deployment platform can handle an unlimited number of concurrent requests for content in general or specifically a particular piece of content or title.  The assurance that all specifics related to the deployment of content are recorded for later reporting purposes.  The assurance that security is integral to the platform and always implemented according to the Content Provider's instructions and requirements.

Subscription terms are under Media Deployment Platform control.  The subscription terms can be defined in terms of duration.  As an example, a shuttle may be valid for 1 day or 1 week.

The DeO Intelligent Media Deployment Platform controls concurrent use of content deployed by a Media-shuttleTM, described as seats.  A Media-shuttle may have instructions to allow only one seat per subscription.  In this scenario once the shuttle is opened no one else can consume the content concurrently from that subscription.  This is useful to control the sharing of subscriptions issued from a public web site.  If the platform has instructions to allow 20 seats per Media-shuttle, as an example, then up to 20 users can consume the content concurrently from that subscription.  This could be useful for an enterprise deployment of training or seminar material.

All content specific meta data is collected and maintained by the deployment platform as well.

The Media-shuttle and the Intelligent Media Deployment Platform maintain contact at all times, in fact the connection is dynamic.  As an example, as Media-shuttles are deployed, there is a chance that the associated content being delivered may change during the term of a subscription.  This could occur due to a new version of the published content being released by the content provider or an updated event being broadcast, if it is live.  Each time a Media-shuttle is dispatched only the latest published content associated with it is streamed. This is a great way for a Content Provider to make their content widely available and ensure that all active copies are automatically updated.  After all “The latest is the greatest”.  If the Content Provider needs to publish multiple version of a piece of content then multiple Media-shuttles are simply made available for dispatch and consumption.
